Information on local frequencies and repeaters.


Local frequencies:

HF

  • The Icelandic net (irregular, only some weekends) is on 14.330 MHz at 12:00 UTC
  • The monitoring frequency on 80 meters for local traffic is 3637 kHz

VHF / UHF

  • The VHF simplex calling freq. in Iceland is : 145.500 MHz
  • The UHF simplex calling freq. in Iceland is : 433.500 MHz

Echolink

Condition: In good working order on May 11, 2012.

An Echolink connection is operated by TF3GW in Reykjavik. Anybody with a valid license to operate amateur radio in Iceland is permitted to use the Echolink´s connection.

  • The connection is on 145.325 MHz. You will need CTCSS tone access with an 88,5 Hz tone.
  • Node number is 283634

Repeaters

Several repeaters are operated in Iceland and one beacon. Anyone with a valid license to operate amateur radio in Iceland is permitted to use the repeaters. Below is a list of the repeaters along with a propagation map.

  • Red color denotes signal strength > 10µV,
  • yellow 5 - 10µV,
  • green 2,5 - 5uV,
  • blue 1,25 - 2,5µV,
  • violet 0,6125 - 1,25µV,
  • light violet 0,3 - 0,6125µV.

Red or yellow areas should be usable with a 2W handheld and a rubber duck antenna.
