Rules for the Iceland 50 Years Award

The Award was available to all Radio Amateurs and SWL's. The application time did expired at the end of June 1996 and therefor the Award is no longer issued. The Award was printed for each applicant on a 110 g/m² 297X210 mm Special Ink Jet paper in four colors blue, red, green and black. The Award was first issued in June 1994 and the first applicant was LA0BX, Sigfús Jónsson from Norway. The total number of applications was 14.

  1. The Award is available to all licensed Amateurs and SWL's.
  2. Contacts must have been made between 00.00 hours 1. January and 23.59 hours 31. December 1994.
  3. There are no band or mode limitations.
  4. Requirements:
    • Contact at least three Icelandic Radio Amateur stations.
    • Contacts with stations which are /TF or TF/ are not valid for this Award.
  5. Contacts do not have to be confirmed but a list showing all QSO details, like station worked, day, month, year, time, band, mode and report must be submitted.
  6. The first Award issued to a DXCC country will be endorsed as such but there will be no other special endorsement.
  7. Fee for "THE FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE REPUBLIC OF ICELAND AWARD" is 8 IRC's or 5.00 US dollars.
  8. Applications much have reached the Award Manager before the end of June 1996. After that time the Award will not be issued.
