IRAA Award
Rules for the IRAA Award
The award is available to licensed radio amateurs and SWL´s outside TF. The award is printed for each applicant on 110 g/m² 297X210 mm Special Ink Jet paper in three colors blue, red and black. The award was first issued in March 1984 and the first applicant was OY2H, Hans J. Egholm from the Faroe Islands.
- The award is available to licensed Amateurs and SWL's outside TF.
Attn. Contacts with station which are /TF or TF/ are not valid for this Award.
- There is no time limit to the QSO's.
- Certified photocopies of the QSL cards must be submitted to the sponsor together with a list of the complete log entries for the contacts. Do not send the QSL cards.
- All contacts must be made from the same call area or where no call area exist, from the same country.
- The fee for "THE ICELANDIC RADIO AMATEURS AWARD" is 8 IRC's, 5.00 US dollars or 5.00 Euro.

- Mixed mode contacts, CW to SSB etc. and cross band contacts are not valid, except for contacts via amateur satellites.
- Each station may be contacted only once per band per mode, as defined by the columns of the above table.
Requirements:
- ITU zones 5, 9, 18-20, 27-29.................... 98 points
- ITU zones 1-4, 6-8, 21-26, 30, 31, 36, 37....... 48 points
- ITU zones 10-13, 32-35, 38-40, 46-48............ 28 points
- ITU zones 14-16, 41-45, 49-75................... 18 points
